Recognition grant
Do you need recognition in Germany of your foreign degree? Are you also a low-income earner?
Then you may be able to apply for the federal government’s recognition grant. With this grant, you can receive up to 600 euros for the costs of the recognition in Germany of your professional qualifications. We will help you find out if you meet the requirements.

- Costs for a Statement of Comparability by the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB)
- Costs for translations
- Costs for certifications of employment reference letters and degrees as well as affidavits
- Costs for qualification analyses
- Adaptation courses
- Adaptation qualifications
- Inter-company apprentice training
- Preparatory training for aptitude and knowledge tests as well as examination fees
- Travel and accommodation expenses directly related to the necessary qualification measures
- Expenses directly associated with advice and support for access to measures and traineeships
You must submit your application for a recognition grant before you initiate the recognition procedure.
The recognition grant cannot be applied to costs that have already been incurred. You will only receive funding for costs incurred after receipt of the application for a recognition grant.
Find out in advance whether you need recognition of your qualifications and if you might need a follow-up qualification. You can only apply for the recognition grant if you need recognition. There are also other requirements that you have to meet.
Fill out the application for the recognition grant and send it together with all the necessary documents to the address given on the form. The form sets out which documents you need.
Once you have received approval, you can start your qualification recognition process.
You will need various documents and certified translations of these for the recognition process. Our sworn translators will be happy to take care of the certified translation of your documents.
Have you incurred costs of more than 100 euros as part of the recognition procedure? If so, you can now submit the invoices for these and have them refunded. If you have your documents translated by lingoking, you will receive an invoice directly with the translation, which you can then submit to the federal government.
