lingoking wins frame contract with Goethe Institute

The Goethe-Institut signs a two-year framework contract for text translations in over 80 languages with lingoking. The language service provider from Munich has thereby become a partner of the Goethe-Institut for all text translations from the Marketing & Sales staff department.

Munich, 15 June 2016 – Following several successful translation projects such as the comprehensive translation of the Goethe-Institut web portal for newcomers in February this year, the Goethe-Institut has now decided to expand and intensify its cooperation with the language service provider lingoking from Munich with a two year framework contract. The framework contract can be extended to a maximum period of four years, if desired.

As part of this contract, the global language service provider lingoking will translate texts into various languages for the Marketing and Sales staff department. The texts for translation are taken from the fields of e-commerce, didactics and market research, amongst others.

Birgit Weckerle, Head of the Marketing and Sales staff department explains which criteria were instrumental in deciding on lingoking:

For the framework contract we were looking for a translation service provider that was able to cover the broad linguistic and thematic spectrum of our texts from the areas of sales, marketing and online marketing. Equally, the service provider needed to have resources at their disposal that enabled them to carry out even urgent assignments in a professional manner. lingoking demonstrated its ability to translate the Goethe-Institut’s specialist terminology at a high level, as early as during the application process.

During the previous collaboration as part of the “Language and Mobility” project, lingoking also proved itself to be successful as a language service provider by translating texts into non-European languages for which there are globally very few specialist translators. lingoking thereby entirely fulfils the requirements of the Goethe-Institut.”

Friedemann Holland, Sales Manager at lingoking, speaking about the cooperation with the Goethe-Institut:

“As a young, expanding company, we are particularly proud that we have established a framework contract for text translations with such a prestigious institution as the Goethe-Institute. This success demonstrates that lingoking satisfied all of the crucial criteria. These included an excellent price-performance ratio as well as a stylistically and technically faultless test translation, a professional in-house project management team as a competent point of contact for customers, the provision of a permanent pool of specialist translators for the Goethe-Institut and compliance with market quality standards.”

By winning this contract, lingoking is continuing to strengthen its position as a leading service provider for text translations in the German language services market.
