Munich, 07 April 2016 – From 2016, lingoking, the global language services provider, will be the Frankfurt Book Fair’s official and exclusive partner for the provision of professional trade fair interpreters (19 to 23 October 2016). The Munich-based start-up was able to prove its worth against its competitors: other national language service providers.

Over the course of the five-day fair, lingoking will ensure seamless communication for exhibitors engaging in international trade fair and business dialogues with the help of their global network of thousands of professional on-site interpreters. Exhibitors will be able to book their desired interpreters, who will be available in over 80 languages, at short notice. The interpreters can be used in a variety of situations, ranging from rights negotiations between bookshops and publishing houses, to the planning and contracting of book translations, to sales topics.

With more than 7,200 exhibitors from over 100 countries, over 140,000 visitors from the book industry, including publishers, booksellers, agents, film producers, and authors, as well as roughly 10,000 accredited journalists, the Frankfurt Book Fair is the most important event on the international media and publishing calendar.

Friedemann Holland, Sales Manager at lingoking, explains:

“lingoking meets the highest demands for trade fair interpreters made to language service providers. That includes professionalism and respectability on the part of the service provider, absolute trustworthiness, very good availability and a quick reaction time, particularly when requested at short notice. We’re very happy that lingoking is partnering the Frankfurt Book Fair.”

lingoking also offers exceptional customer service. Nils Mahler, Managing Director and founder of lingoking, adds:

“lingoking stands for fast, uncomplicated booking of specialist interpreters, worldwide and around the clock. Behind our professional services there is – along with the automated online marketplace – an experienced in-house project management team. They are responsible for the seamless completion of an interpreting project – from recruiting the interpreter, to coordination, to quality control. lingoking guarantees its customers personal customer service which is available 24/7. Offering all this is what makes us able to provide exactly what the Frankfurt Book Fair needs: someone to provide specialist interpreters for their trade fair.”

Trade fair interpreters are easy to book using the  24-hour book fair hotline or using the book fair email address, which has been set up by lingoking exclusively for book fair requests.

What’s more, Friedemann Holland and other lingoking staff will always be available on-site to talk to guests about planning and using an interpreter for multilingual appointments and events at the book fair. Visitors will also be able to find out about all other language services provided by lingoking, such as telephone interpreting or text translation.

This year, the guest of honour at the biggest literary fair in the world will be “Flanders and the Netherlands”, with their motto “This is what we share”. The guest of honour will be represented at readings, exhibitions and other events not just at the book fair itself, but at other cultural centres in Frankfurt and seven selected German cities.
